It is 1974. Two actors, Arcady Ivanov and Momic Burman, have immigrated to Buenos Aires from the Soviet Union. It is difficult for them to accept that they can never return to Leningrad. In the streets of Argentina, a coup d'etat is impending. Arcady and Momic are staging a performance in a music hall in the outskirts of Buenos Aires. The night is hot and condensation drips from the dressing room ceiling.
This is a bad dream from which both actors would love to waken as quickly as possible. However, it is someone else's nightmare. All they can do is grin and bear it until the end.
Everything changes horribly and mercilessly, out of their control. In the dressing room a phone is ringing...
Reviews:
If Hieronymus Bosch had known burlesque, this is what he would have painted.
... an astonishing piece of physical theatre ...
Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
Exquisitely performed and hauntingly beautiful, the poetry of Dias
de Las Noches lingers long in the mind. ... gorgeous piece of physical
theatre ...
Louise Rimmer, The Scotsman
... exquisite, artistically and technically flawless productions
that will be remembered fondly long after they leave the town.... ...
mixture of dance, narrative and abstraction, a feast of circus skills,
burlesque, cabaret and one of the best applications of butoh I have
seen in years. It is carnivalesque, histrionic and nightmarish in its
makeup, attacking one's senses with true relish. It ... Will charm you,
tease you, toy with you, make you eat from the palms of their hands....

Definition der Fuge (musikalisch): Zwei
Stimmen jagen einander.
"...,i really wanted to play this
part!"

A theatrical adaptation of a diary found in the cloak-room in the Soviet factory Vtortshermet in the autumn of 1984.
"Now a word came stealthily to
me,
and my ear took fright at it.
In thoughts from the visions
of the night,
when deep sleep falls,
fear came upon me, and
trembling,
which made all my bones to shake.
Then a spirit
passed before my face;
it made the hair of my flesh
to bristle
up."

Reviews:
„…beautiful in one moment, hideous in next second, cast - aways and homeless, black swans, people addicted to anything, with no identity, barcode on their back and still in some way inwards free…“ didn’t let anyone calm. Admirably limp and flexible in moves. Hectically dancing or just keep silence, presently demonstrating the most classical clown sketches, which we know from Chaplin. They have thrown away to containers their ID cards, or maybe it has been stolen to them. Globalisation, banality, `hamburgerisation` is raging around them.”
SME daily
„Rather less through the individual vignettes and more an overall sense of mystique, the artists expose the idiocy and futility of life with sensational impact.“ (The Primary Symptoms of name loss)
Andrew Richardson, Metro Edinburgh
"Violence, faith, innocence, hate and love are discharged from the stage. Pure emotion…It was a loud, hectic show, which overpowered and overexerted the audience."
