...It's just amazing how Gombrowicz, whose works have so often been staged in Polish theatres, has suddenly found a completely new language in the hands of Janusz Opryński and Witold Mazurkiewicz - the co-directors of this performance. It's a bold and daring performance (...) and, at the same time, one of great beauty - that is, it contains scenes which are so strongly metaphorical that they will remain for ever in the memory of the audience (...)In other words, it's a great event. I've seen Gombrowicz's works many times on the Polish stage, but this time would go so far as to say that I haven't seen such a brilliant performance of Gombrowicz since Grzegorzewski's staging of "¦lub" in Wrocław in 1976....
Elżbieta Morawiec for Polish Radio
...The brilliant adaptation of Gombrowicz is one of the best shown over the last decade...
Roman Pawłowski, "Gazeta Wyborcza"
...This is theater born directly out of the Grotowski tradition, a physical and psychological encounter of the first order, in with four actors deliver tour de force performances. It is acting that is so focused, so intricate in its body language and wide-ranging vocalization that it can only amaze...
Jim Farber, "Daily Breeze"
...Provisorium's "Ferdydurke" was a wonderful experience. I saw a theatre full of richness of Poland's history and its struggle for a national identity. But that is not what captured my imagination. It was the way in which the piece was directed and acted. I did not understand the dialogue but the director and actors incorporated a physical score that made the underlying intention of each secne clear. Don't get me wrong, this was not a piece of physical theatre in the Grotowskian sense. In fact, it was as realistic as one might expect of Gombrowicz. But the subtexts and messages were physicalized in a way that circumvented language...
Ian Watson
...This show represents such a clear, colorful and brillantly realised blast against avery kind of sexual and class hypocrisy...
Joyce McMillan, “The Scotsman”
...With cunningly minimal staging and a cast of four – all men – who revel in the grotesque absurdities that lurk in every sscene, this is one of these shows that leaves you thinking lung after you`re stopped laughing...
Mary Brennan, “The Herald”

Teatr Novogo Fronta (CZ/RU) - Dybbuk
"Irina Andreeva was a supernatural sight in Dybbuk...explosive...a spirit taking glleful possession of another body."
Nelson Pressley, The Washington Post
"Andreeva is a master of restraint, and in her clear, calculated movements she builds a tension that never lets up. Sometimes she seems to battle electronic mysterious forces, at other times she´s the force itself. In Andreeva´s case, the dybbuk within is making powerful art."
Howard Shapiro, The Philadelphia Inquirer
There were so many astonishing elements in this play Dybbuk… An elfin, but tautly controlled powerhouse of a woman, Andreeva dedicated this work to "the feminine principle of the universe. ." …a serious and beautifully danced flamenco ends in a riveting ronde de jambe that transmogrifies into a grotesque tap dance…
